Cycle Sector R6 Race bike
Cycle Sector will sponsor a company racing team for the 2008 season consisting of 3 to 5 sponsored riders. We will be participating in the WERA West and WSMC racing seasons in various classes.
UPDATE 1/16/08
We are
into the racing season with the first WERA race having been on Jan.
13th. Unfortunately our team bikes are not race ready since we are
still securing sponsorship deals for various racing components.
However we are pleased to announce that Galfer is giving us some great
sponsorship support throughout the season with our brakes! Galfer is
among the most respected brand of braking components, so we are very
happy to have them on board with us.
We are also receiving
support with Pazzo levers from CTS-Moto! We love Pazzo levers becuase
they make nice and affordable levers, and provide so much more comfort
for our riding style; plus they make our bikes look even more pimp!
We would highly recommend Pazzo for everyone.
Having
competitive race tires is extremely important in racing, and it is the
biggest expense in a racer's budget. We have been looking for a good
tire sponsor and now are extremely happy to announce that Bridgestone
will be sponsoring the team throughout the season! Bridgestone has
been sort of a silent competitor in the club racing level, but their
recent total domination at the GP level is starting to get them the
attention they deserve. Bridgestone's have already led to many
championships, and we are very fortunate to have their support this
season.
Cycle Sector has also added a new racer to the team!
WERA and WSMC expert racer David Christensen will be suiting up in
RS-Taichi and will run a fully team sponsored brand new 2007 R6 this
season. His first races as a Cycle Sector racer are this weekend, Jan.
20. at Willow Springs International Raceway. With the help from our
sponsors and our supporters, we hope that he, as well as everyone else
on the team will be front runners all season.
We are still
locking in some sponsors and hope to have all the racebikes completed
for the next round of WSMC races next month. This part of the website
will also be totally redone with pictures, links and multimedia. It's
going to look awesome.

Cycle
Sector just confirmed a sponsorship deal with E-Racings bodywork for
our race bikes! E-racings fairings have great quality and fit,
especially for the price. We are happy to be using their product on
our bikes and highly recommend them for anyone looking for great,
affordable bodywork. Cycle Sector is also an authorized dealer of
E-racings so please let us know if you are interested in getting a set
on your bike.

We have 2 confirmed riders so far which will be racing on Yamaha R6's; They are Diego Romo and Chris Costa. The bikes are still undergoing their conversion from street to race and we are also working on designing the team livery.
Many of the parts we will run on our bikes are still TBD due to ongoing sponsorship procurement, however we do have an exciting confirmed sponsor, RS-Taichi leathers! They make some of the finest leather suits available and we are very grateful for their support of our team and our business.
